This is one of my favorite scores done by Elfman , despite the very obvious rehashing of certain cues. How could the editors dare to replace the awesome music Elfman wrote for the train scene? In my opinion Elfman was the best choice to compose the scores for Spiderman and Spiderman 2, I cannot think of a composer who would have made a better one than he did. I do not understand how they could just use different composers, creating different musical pieces, for the same movie. Each composer has their own individual style and most of the time they do not mix well in the same movie. It worked amazingly well on Gladiator with all the contributors who worked on that one with Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard, but it doesn't work all the time. the different styles in the film of Spiderman 2 didn't really work for me. If Elfman does the score for Spiderman 3, the editors and producers should release him to compose a magnificent score all by himself to retain a consistency throughout the entire film.
