The review sounds so negative, yet it got 4 stars? I'm surprised the horrible sound quality wasn't mentioned more in the review. The music sounds like it was performed by a high-school marching band.

Because Dan Wallin recorded it in tape like the Incredibles... not in digital.

I like it. It sounds vintage and makes the score warmer to listen to. The highs and lows aren't quite as abrasive as the modern digital recording.

It's an old process of recording. The music sounds very good but the percussion would sound better.

I don't know of any high school marching band that play level 5 & level 6 music. A very complicated, furious score which actually, I hoped there could have been more. Too short, but very complicated. The Hollywood Studio Symphony Orchestra is way better then any high school marching band.
