I always knew that John Powell was good, but DAMN!!! I mean, I wasn't too disappointed with John Ottman's work in X-2, but I didn't have high hopes for him, especially after he made "Eight-Legged Freaks" sound all cartoonish. Kudos to Ottman for stepping it up.
I hope that everyone here now realizes that Powell is, from here on out, going to be the most sought after composer for films, and may yet join the ranks of Williams and Shore. I don't expect I will get tired of this music soon.
