Soundtrack-Universe reviews The Fantastic Four: First Steps (Giacchino)   Tuesday, August 5, 2025 (4:43 p.m.)

Greetings all,

A review that should have been out last week but ended up getting delayed, here's my take on the latest from the ever growing, never ending Marvel Cinematic Universe, The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025). Music by Michael Giacchino (Doctor Strange, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Lost, Star Wars: Rogue One, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, The Incredibles).

Enjoy!

P.S,
Hopefully I can get back to the "two reviews a week" format again soon. 2025 has proven to be more chaotic than planned, thus the long stretch of a single review each week (if any).

...boy, I Must've missed something with this score. Better try it again (or just wait to hear it in context). Anyhoo, excellent review.

As usual, short but really articulated review. The music worked really well for me in context, it even made the movie a lot enjoyable experience. I understand your quibble about a portion of the approach but it does not take away from what a great modern superhero score this is.

True on both counts. The electronica textures are truly more of a "nitpick" in this instance, but still enough of an odd creative choice to point out.
