> Black Hawk Down (2001) - ****

I re-watched this film about a month ago, having not seen it in several years. Wow, I couldn't believe how many big names were in it before they became famous. Fantastic film by Scott.

Leave No Man Behind is a top-tier Zimmer, full stop. The rest of the score is functional for the film and I like Zimmer's approach.

> We Were Soldiers (2002) - ***½

I really like the film, but haven't heard the score outside of it.

> The Time Machine (2002) - ****½

I actually just re-watched this film over the weekend. Also, want to point out it's directed by Simon Wells (great-grandson of the author H.G. Wells), not Simon West. I discovered this film on HBO when I was younger and was mesmerized by it. Now that I'm older, I still really like the first 2 acts, but the film falls apart in the final act. No enough to ruin it, but certainly enough that it's hard to ignore. I forgot how good Guy Pearce's lead performance was in this film. Too bad he's mostly typecast in the Corporate Bad guy type roles now.

The score is still great, and my favorite by Badelt.

> The Bourne Identity (2002) - ***

Not as good as the 2 sequels, but it's interesting to hear Powell experiment with the ideas he would fully develop in the next 2 films in this score.

> The Ring (2002) - ****

Haven't seen the film (not big into horror) or heard the score. However, I keep hearing good things about both so maybe I should make an exception.

I'm not sure if you mentioned, but will you also be covering the TV scores in this series, or just films? That's a lot of material from Djawadi, Balfe, and others.
