Wolfgang Hammerschmid, not Harry Rabinowitz. Rabinowitz was a very acclaimed and prolific conductor for the BBC (and elsewhere) in the UK in the 1960s and 70s. Different guy.

Hammerschmid was (I believe) interning with Poledouris at the time and was attempting to build up some US credits so he could move to LA permanently, but for whatever reason it never happened. He has quite a few credits in German and Austrian film and TV, but nothing for some time.
