Now Playing: Brain Power'd - Kanno

Feeling like some more Kanno today. So I'll be listening to her two albums for "Brain Power'd", one of many anime that tried to ride the coat tails of "Evangelion" but didn't quite get it right. The music may be the most memorable thing from it. It's got some excellent tracks, including a militaristic theme inspired by Zimmer's main theme from "Toys" of all things.

If I still have some time, might thrown on one of her "Cowboy Bebop" albums for good measure.

What are you listening to?

Starting of celebrating Bill Conti turning 80 by listening to my favourite score of his:
The Karate Kid Part II
then I'm continuing my Hornerfest with:
Braveheart
and
Legends of the Fall, for the first time

Listened to A Man and His Dog (Un Homme et Son Chien) by Philippe Rombi today for the first time - wowza, what a gorgeous score! I've been slowly exposing myself to Rombi's work over the last couple years and all of them have been completely excellent. I feel pretty comfortable calling him one of my favorite film composers at this point, and I've only heard eight of his scores.
