> Kong: Skull Island (2017) - ****

I really need to revisit this score as I originally thought it was serviceable, but not great, until I finally watched the film and thought "oh, this is actually really good". Probably need to do a "Revisted" take on it, actually.

As for the movie, it's easily the best of Monsterverse series so far despite my personal affinity for Godzilla: King of the Monsters (its the closest any of these movies have gotten to 9-year old Ben's dream Hollywood G-film). There's still some moments in Skull Island that I'm surprised they got away with for hoe brutal they are....

> Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) - ***

Still haven't the new Jumanji movies, but have heard good things about the first one, at least. Found Jackman's score fun is largely forgettable.

> The Predator (2018) - ****

Now this, this was a very nice surprise. One of the best non-Silvestri entries in the franchise, Jackman did an excellent job of combining his own stylings with Silvestri's. The album also had a freakishly cool cover to boot.
