I like Prehistoric Planet a lot and I agree that it represents sort of the pinnacle of elegance writing so far in BF's portfolio (I still think the best overall BF nature documentary score is Primates). In regards to revisiting and holding up, Frozen Planet II definitely benefits from this. I was a bit underwhelmed with a first listen (it was missing the complex elegance of Prehistoric Planet and the George Fenton scores just a bit too much), but subsequent sessions made me appreciate the use of melodies and vocals more and it just missed out on my top 10 of the year.
