I simply love Armand Amar. He has some great scores. My absolute favourites you really should listen to:

1) La jeune fille et les loups: wonderful score, in every aspect - great orchestrations, beautiful themes.
2) Terre vue du ciel: La Genèse is simply divine! I love those operatic vocals.
3) Planet Ocean: great score, two discs full of wonderful music.
4) Sagan: small ensemble, great theme!
5) Ao le dernier Neanderthal: L'Empreinte is a top track!

If you like more ethnic music: Le Premier Cris, Va, Vis et Deviens and Bab 'Aziz (Poem of Atoms is just amazing and so different in both versions)
To conclude: "Amen" has an amazing piano driven melody and "Les indigènes" has a hopelessly tragic string arrangement.

So enjoy this great composer!
