I bought the Black Hawk Down soundtrack because I liked the film so much and had it in my library literally for years before I finally picked it up recently for a listen. It has been on continuous play for almost two weeks. It has been the soundtrack of my life lately. It is an amazing listening experience, a brilliantly innovative and experimental musical fusion, a disturbing-but-exciting mix of cultures, voices, instruments, beats, harmonies, and ideologies. Yes! That is all there! Though it's definitely unsettling throughout, it is a remarkable scoring achievement that, once again, places Hans Zimmer, in my opinion, at the very peak of composers for the cinema!
