Umm... so this "unconfirmed" report was from a message board user?

As for "wild reasons", it was pretty obvious from discussions at the time (three years ago) that the CD wasn't coming out because Zimmer felt that 30 minutes was not long enough to justify a CD release. He even contemplated a double-album release with an older unreleased score of his, but in the end decided not to do it.

Certainly the release of the bootlegs did NOT help his decision to hold off on releasing it. When RING 2 came up, he did, however, see it as a good opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.

And Christian, buddy, pal, Zimmer didn't have any involvement with the second film, except for Tillman and Lohner using his themes.
