What a bummer of a list. There's not a single score here that hits 4 stars for me (except maybe Puss in Boots). I still remember hearing First Class and thinking there were enough cool bits to get excited about what might come next.

Jackman for me is one of those composers who has a ton of really brilliant highlights throughout his career, but seldomly has an entire 4 or 5 star score. Kingsman 2, Wreck-It Ralph, Strange World, Puss in Boots, Birth of a Nation (which I’m surprised wasn’t covered) and probably X-Men are the only ones that I think crack the 4-star rating. I may even put Uncharted 4 up there too.

However, there’s a number of cues I’d put in 4-5 star range:
1. The Legacy of Nat Turner (Birth of a Nation)
2. Civil War (Cap 3)
3. The Comedown (Cherry)
4. Jumanji Suite (Jumanji TNL)
5. Battle of Skull Island (Kong: Skull Island)
6. The Puss Suite (Puss in Boots)
7. To Dust I Will Return (Trial by Fire)
8. The Twelve Towers (Uncharted 4)
9. Mutant and Proud (X-Men FC)
10. Sugar Rush Showdown (Wreck-It Ralph)
& some more…

Jackman is all over the place, but when he's on, he's really on. The muted response to some comments below is a bit puzzling, since I think his best scores makes him one of the better MV/RC alumni. Like, he might not make the Dean's list, but he's well ahead of the curve.

Anyway, you like Skull Island much more than me, and I like X-Men: First Class much more than you, but otherwise we seem mostly aligned with these rating.
