> Kong: Skull Island (2017) - ****

I'm not sure if I've heard this, but you definitely rated this higher than I expected! I thought it would be a standard guilty-pleasure RC action romp, but you've made me actively interested in hearing this!

> Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) - ****½

I also haven't heard this, and am interested in hearing it. Also one I was surprised to see you rate so high, but it's got me excited to hear it!

> Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) - ***

Precisely my impression. Enjoyable, and nice to hear the Silvestri sound popping up in a mainstream Hollywood film. It's not eminently memorable, but I enjoyed it for what it was. Four-star effort for me, since I have a higher tolerance for this parody style.

> The Predator (2018) - ****

Haven't heard it, but wow, your descriptions of Jackman's influences and approaches were fascinating. Will have to give this a spin!

(This and Terminator are two franchises that can't stop getting reboot attempts. At least Prey finally struck quality gold lol)

> Ralph Breaks The Internet (2018) - ***½

Very enjoyable score, but the nerd in me laments the diminished role of the 8-bit sounds. The film did a remarkable job of commenting on online tropes without coming off too dated (online flaming will always be an issue), though the need to be PG made the Ralph-hate come off as silly instead of heartbreaking. His score is enjoyable throughout, and A Place Called Slaughter Race made me cry laughing in theaters. Definitely a score that reaffirms his animation chops, even if it is unfocused.

Surely this has to be RGW and HGW XDDD
