The film's Ghibli Wiki page says that Miyazaki loved the 1920s-themed music from My Lost City so much that he "wanted it all for Porco Rosso," which is why multiple pieces from that album, notably "1920 - Age of Illusion" and "Madness," were reimagined by Hisaishi for the score instead of using more Image Album material.
