Re: Hisaishi rundown post #6 - 1992-95: Porco Rosso, the first concert album, Sonatin > The film's Ghibli Wiki page says that Miyazaki loved the 1920s-themed music from My Lost City so much that he 'wanted it all for Porco Rosso,' which is why multiple pieces from that album, notably '1920 - Age of Illusion' and 'Madness,' were reimagined by Hisaishi for the score instead of using more Image Album material.
Well, there ya go - that clears up the "chicken and the egg" nature of those two albums...wasn't sure given the multi-year nature of animation production which came first, even with My Lost City being the first to get released. Thanks!
